1966 Toronado Fuel Tank Vent Configuration

Hello all. New to this forum and had a question.

A few months back, I picked up a fixer upper in Oklahoma City to drive it to Denver (where I live) to put in storage in anticipation of a full restoration.

One of the first things my buddy & I noticed was fuel leaking from the gas tank when we filled it up. Eventually, the leaking went away when the fuel level dropped.

Since getting home, I have done some research on the source of the leak. From looking at the OLDS manual, it shows that a vent hose (or pipe?) loop is supposed to extend through the floor pan in the trunk just behind the passenger side rear wheel well.

After inspecting that area on my vehicle, there is no vent hose in the trunk area, and I couldn't locate a hole or grommet in the tunk floor for this vent loop. I am guessing the fuel is leaking from the vent nipple on top of the tank because no vent hose is connected.

Is anyone familiar with the configuration for the fuel tank vent system? A picture would be great if available.

thanks!
