wheel hop

ok guys I have tried everything to stop this problem. new bushings adj upper control arms new adj shocks. I put in new frame stiffeners. The only thing I have not changed the rear springs yet. It looks like to me on level ground rear housing is level. I still have bad wheel hop. not to excited about no hop bars. car does not set high in rear. looks level. any suggestion on what to try.

any rear sway bar ?

I have the frame stiffeners, new stock bushings on stock UCAs, poly bushings on LCAs and a 1" rear stock style sway bar, w new moog springs

No wheel hop can light em up easily but the rear just slides around

My lca are same brand as uca. What moog springs did you use, also what size tires? The uca has a rubber bushing on the pinion that still looks good but all the rest are poly. The springs and those rubber bushing are the only things that are not changed.

MOOG 5385 Rear; Coupe; Hardtop; 2 door; Constant Rate Spring; Heavy Duty

but my car sat 1" to low in the rear for my tastes, i added a 1 " spacer under the springs and now the car sits ~1/2-3/4" higher in the rear than the front.

I have the MOog 5450 in the front but will someday goto the 5536 as it is supposed to be 1 " shorter, when that happens i will pull out the 1" rear spacer.

tires are 255x60x15

3.42 anti-spin

The lower rear trailing arms on a stock Cutlass are pretty flimsy.

Hotchkis has a nice set of upper and trailing arms that'll help plant the wheels a little better.

Is it a stick? Those have the extra axel to frame bars. You said you have frame stiffeners but I wasn't sure it that is what I'm talking about.

You have to keep in mind the rear suspension does half the work. Have you done any front suspension work. Like moroso trick spring and 90/10 shocks. that should get the weight transfer close.

If anything try the relocation brackets they do the same thing as the no hop bars but they just lower the rear control arms to change the instant center.

I get a little wheel hop but all i have is home boxed lowers , new rubber bushings stock uppers and 1969 442 springs. Still have the tags on em lol. I only use the air lift bag at the track.

The front is trick springs and 90/10's

You can see in this pic the wheel hop but then it bit down . not horrible wheel hop but it still happens a little. Unlevel pavement can unload the suspension while you roll over it which also causes wheel hop which is partly why i get it.
