rough idle

I'm having a problem with my 72 cutlass and I hope my olds family can help.
I installed a new gas tank last weekend because the previous owner popped the locking gas cap when he couldn't find the key.He screwed up the filler neck.
The problem is since the install the car hesitates and idles lower than usual. It starts up fine but just idles low around 3-4 hundred rpm.I have a see through fuel filter and theres pleanty of gas going through it.What do you think???

If you installed a new tank maybe you dislodged some stuff in the sender unit. It could have come loose in your fuel line and gotten lodged in the carburetor. Maybe cleaning the carburetor would help.

Problem fixed. It was the filter on my sending unit.It was sliced open so junk was getting to my engine.I replaced it and I'm good again and burning rubber up and down the block.
