Question Head Numbers

What do you guys mean by #6 etc heads? I have a set of 67 330 heads where are these numbers?

Look on the front side corner of your driver's side cylinder head, close to the front spark plug. If your '67 330 has the original heads, there should be a #4 on them. That'll mean you have 60cc combustion chambers (high compression?), although I don't know what your valve sizes would be. 394497 should be the number you see when you remove the valve covers. Click on "Oldsmobile Performance" on the front page of this site, as Texasred suggested. Lots of good info there. I THINK all 330s had steel cranks, but I'm not 100% sure - I'm still learning!
