heater delete

hey guys, i live in south florida and the coldest it gets here is like 60 and only for a couple of weeks. my a/c does not work, everything and anything having to do with the a/c is missing. i wanted to know if the a/c would work (after new parts of course) after i delete the heater box in the engine compartment its ugly, big, and i dont want a heater

That "heater box" is what holds the evaporator for the A/C, so I'm thinking it won't work too well if you remove it. Your only option to clean up the firewall is to use an aftermarket A/C that fits completely under the dash, like the units from Vintage Air and others.
