Exhaust, The Final Tech Question
Would a 3" exhaust with the set up on my other post work well with what I'm doing? I want to run the 3" exhaust that will have a X-pipe with super 40's or super 44's depending on my mood when I order them. This question is strickly for the purpose of performance. I know it should sound good.

So, it's safe to say I won't "lose" any horsepower either? That's the only thing I'm worried about. I plan to run dual exhaust with the x-pipe, as far as routing goes, that's what the exhuast shop is for!!!! I had dual 3" on my 82 cutlass and I wouldn't of done it myself for anything.

Take a crayon and draw a thick line down your exhaust until about the middle of the car.
Then start it up and go race a 1/4 mile.
Where ever the crayon is still left unmelted, is where it's safe to dump your exhaust off at.
My opinion only, though.
I believe having an X pipe and full exhaust is worth more horsepower than straight dual exhaust, however.

So you think a complete 2.5 will be totally adequate with out losing any power on this application then? If so I'll go with that. I just need to come up with something before I order the mufflers so that i get the right size.
