950 carb
Hi all.
So I borrowed a 750 dp 4779 from a buddy over the summer. It works great on my 468 with ported iron heads that flow about 270 at .536 lift (my cam) with 240 dur. But wondering what everyone thinks about 950 hp. I understand they only flow around 830-840 cfm. Car specs are '71 442 3750#, 3000 stall, 3.73 gears and 28" tire and dual plain intake. Redline is 5600 rpm, 9.6.1 cr. Any recommendations please and thank you.

All i can tell you is what i used after that you need someone else to advise you. I use a 850 mighty demon on my 468 . 373 rear gear 29.5 slicks 6000 at the line 2800 stall torker intake ebrock heads 3440 wt 67 cutlass. This engine is now in my 1970 442 with 3750 wt, 390 gear,29.5 slicks 3600 stall ARH 2" Race dumps and magna flow mufflers to rear axle 3" exhaust.Street /race car. {Notice i said get someone else to advise you on best choice}.Good luck on what ever you decide.I hope you post back on your update.

Thank you wr1970. I emailed pro systems and they recommended there 950 hp model. Just looking for more opinion. I've seen on YB the very same recommendation for a SB that turns 7500 rpm so I guess I'm just a little concerned that it a one setup fits all type of calibration for there carb with a hefty price tag attached. But don't get me wrong I've heard nothing but good things about pro systems. Just trying to make the best choice possible for a street70%/strip30%. Willing to spend 700 bucks but still want to make the most of it without being able to try different carbs. Thanks again
