I think I see your problem there
them black/white things on the ground in pic #1 are supposed to be in the engine.

Is that steering wheel still available?

I think the trunk will fit. I have a 69 myself so I can compare the two just to make sure.

I need to get the back seat out so I can unlock the trunk (no keys). Once that is done I can see what kind of shape it's in and go from there.

I have two other big projects that have already been paid for that I need to knock out first. Hopefully by late next week I'll have the time to focus on the 68 F-85.

68 and 69 decklids are not interchangeable due to tail light differences

You can make a key from the code on the glovebox lock and then you have a keyed alike lock set for sale also. Door locks code will get you an ign switch key usually.
