I have a really nice front Cowl from a 1970 Cutlass. I am finding almost zero rust anywhere on this thing. Detailed pictures upon request.

I've shipped these cowls through Fastenal in the past at very resonable rates.

Please contact fastenal for a shipping quote.

Sorry, between the rain yesterday and the family today I haven't had a chance to push the car out of the garage for pictures.

It'll have to be shipped via Fastenal. I've shipped a cowl through them in the past with no issues.

I ship out of the Pelham Alabama store if you want to check on shipping.

Here are some pictures of the cowl. The cowl is in nice shape around the bottom. All of the lower fender bolts came out without any issues.

There is some severe rust around the lower window and the dash under the window is rusted through.

Taking this into account I am willing to come down on the price.

Hi Tom,

Unfortunately, I needed this for the dashboard section of the cowl. Let me know if the next car you get in has a better dash/cowl

JD,

Yeah! when I saw this I figured it wouldn't work for you.

And the only rust I can find is right there on the dash.

If I find another car with a good dash I'll post it here.

Tom

Thanks Tom... Also if you come across a solid 70 cutlass or 442 body let me know... I might want to buy the entire thing for the trunk, floors, and firewall

I have another car with a good dash in it. The lower cowl is rusted out but the dash looks nice. Should be a sand and paint part. PM me if anyone is interested in it.

Can you post a few pictures... Perhaps I can splice this and the one I have together.

Thanks

JD,

I'll pull the window and double check for any unseen rust. I don't think there is any but'll I'll double check and post pictures sometime this week.

And I'll sell it for $150.00 plus shipping.

Thanks Tom - I really appreciate all your help. I just wish I could find a welder in Florida to do the floors, trunk, and firewall. The quote I got from the restoration shop last week was unreal

Yeah! I am running into the same problem. I got lucky with the repairs on my fenders and trunk. I was able to trade a body tub in exchange for the repair work. But that was a one time deal. Now my solution is to by my own welder and start learning how to weld.

I pretty much got the car stripped down and I can see up in the cowl. The only rust damage I can find is in the dashboard at the base of the window. Up underneath the cowl looks super. It looks like the rust might have started on top with salt packs from a fast food restaurant. All of the dash parts came apart easily and the fasteners are still shiny. The car has very solid floors as well.

I can take more pictures if anyone needs them.

I am very negotiable on the price.

Tom,

Do you have a picture of where the windshield and cowl meet - this is the section I need.

Thanks

The trunk pan is solid but it has some rust.
The fifth picture in the first section shows the rust at the base of the windshield.

This will be the last call on this body. I'll be cutting it up this week. I'll try to save as much of it as I can. The floor will be saved as will the trunk drop offs.

Let me know if there are any specific needs and I'll try to see if I can help.

The rear panel will not work on anything but a four door. Found that out first hand.

The only thing I have left is the four doors.

Everything else sold. Wow! That's a surprise
