Passing along info on this for a friend. Apparently when looking for a Chevy 12-bolt posi for his '72 Chevelle he acquired this. After running the numbers found it was a 1969 Canadian Olds application (meaning Chevy style 'real' 12-bolt with C-clips, etc.). Before he puts it in his Chevelle he wanted me to see if there was any interest from the Oldsmobile crowd.

About 30 years ago I had a friend get a 3.73 12 bolt posi C clip out of a cutlass. I thought it was BS but maybe not?

It's no different than any 12 bolt in a Chevelle. Tell him to use it. Both my '68 442 and my '69 Cutlass came with 12 bolt Chevy rear ends as did all that were built in Canada those years.

This is also a 3.73 gear. He plans on using it unless it's more valuable to an Olds guy looking for the correct rear end so he thought he'd test the waters.
