Misc Starters,Coil
I found a few more starters & a coil,in another box. They all look to have been serviced at one time or another, due to a sticker, but maybe the numbers on the case are important.
1998236 4B17 Has a sticker that I can't read.
1107376 0K?? Has Duralast sticker,can't confirm the second "7" is a "7".
1107652 8F17 Has NAPA sticker on it.
Coil - Delco Remy,and has raised letters/numbers that say 216 B-R
I should also mention that when you get a rebuilt or remanned starter, you might not get one from another Oldsmobile. They basicly take a case, then put the proper nose on it,for the application needed.I bought a starter for a 70 455 last year, and the numbers on the case said it was from a 6-cylinder Chevy, but obviously it wasn't,as those look nothing like an Olds starter. That is why trying to find a true Oldsmobile starter can be tough. Some of those numbers above, might not even be an original Oldsmobile application, but they fit them now.
