Almost forgot about this.

Adding some pics.

NOTE :

When I went to put everything back in the box I noticed the thick rubber washer that slips up into the bottom of the wing nut isn't the right one.

The hole in the middle of the washer is too small & it will need to be opened up a bit in order to fit up in the wing nut.

In pic # 4 I added some arrows pointing to this hole in the washer.

A simple quick & easy fix with a drill bit.

Took 2 pics of the base.

The 1st pics shows @ one & three quarters of an inch.

The 2nd pic shows the carb flange/lip to be @ five eighth's of an inch.

So I would guess once installed on a carb .....

That should leave you just shy of a one & a half inch drop ?.

Someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I had one of these on my '72...350 car with edlebrock performer and quadrajet...fit with no issues. The rubber grommet u mentioned that may be the wrong size was the same with mine. I just flipped it around and it worked fine. Cool set up that I haven't seen too often!
