Hi
I'm interested, but I can't see from the pictures whether it has the Olds logo in the lower right hand corner or if the mirror surface is undamaged. It looks like it might be tarnished. Also, is this a tinted vanity mirror?

Thanks, Tom

This was listed over a year ago. I looked around quick and I don't see it. I think it may have sold on another site, or at a swap meet. If it turns up, I'll relist it or contact the interested parties.

Thanks, Mr Olds.

That's too bad. Was it tinted? Does anyone know how those plastic rivets are attached to the one side of the sunvisor without having access from the back side....

The "rivets" or studs on the mirror snap into the "sockets" that are imbedded in the visor.

Here's a pic I found on the web showing the studs on the mirror:

And another pic showing a loose stud and I'm guessing the "socket" that it plugs into:

Ah thanks. I see the plastic sockets in my sun visor and the broken off studs on the mirror side that are still stuck in them....

I remember it didn't say Olds on it or have a rocket. All mirrors I've seen had the same glass, I wouldn't call them tinted, but they had a very slight tint to them. You can punch out the old rivets and reuse the plastic rivets. Most repros you buy have like plastic license plate snap in nuts on them. They will work in most cases depending how well-padded the visor is. All visors of the period had the holes both drvr + pass side. Some cars could be ordered with both. You can find the holes using a common pin in the general area, then put like a nickel or quarter over them, draw a circle and cut the padding to install one.
