I have it at a storage yard but I believe the interior is in driver condition. It has tan or light brown cloth bucket seats, saddle dash. The rest of the interior is black. I also have a 1975 Cutlass parts car that has a black interior with swivel buckets, console, tilt floor shift column. The seats need recovered, but I have a new set of covers for them. I don't think it's a posi, but haven't checked it. It does have a rear sway bar. John
#44
Just a thought... I believe your 1977 Cutlass should have the corporate 8.5 inch rear end. You can look for a posi in many of the 1973 to 1980 something GM cars including vans and half ton pickups. It might be cheaper to find something in your state, pull the guts out of it, then have them installed in your rear end. Or watch ebay for the 8.5 posi carrier. John

This car is pretty complete, except for the engine and trannie So at this time I'd like to sell it as a project with our without a drivetrain. If I change my mind I'll get in touch about the grill. John

Yes I do. Purchase plus shipping $250, that's about $150 for the heads and $100 to ship. They're still on an engine so I would need to pull them and verify they're good. That would be a visual check for cracks, I can have them magged if you'd pay the cost of that. John

#5 heads
Hello Redog, my machine shop will hot tank and mag the heads for $20. He suggested I remove the valves so he can check underneath them for cracks. I had planned to remove the rocker arms and ship them in a separate box, I could put the valves and springs in the same box if that would work for you. John
rileydawgg, I'll have to look and see if I have some good door panels, but they would probably have to be dyed as I can't think of a set of black ones that are good enough to use. John

Hello 67Delmont, yes I've got some 425's but I believe the shipping to your part of the country would cost way too much. A couple years ago I shipped a Toro front wheel drive unit to a guy in Ohio. That cost almost $450 and is much lighter than an engine. If you can find a way to ship it at a reasonable cost I'd be glad to work with you. The other possibility is if you come up with a motor close by I could provide you with parts to upgrade it. I've shipped heads, cranks and rods and they're still not cheap, but less than a whole engine.
Topdown, I've got used 350 pistons but I don't think any of them are good enough to put in a motor. Sorry I can't help you there. John

Hey John, Do you still have any grills for a '71 Cutlass / Vista Cruiser? Also looking for a decent rear bumper for a '71 Vista Cruiser and a clock, just has to look okay. Going to put that housing in and get my dash back together tomorrow. Thanks again.

Hello Allen
Yes, I have a set of 1971 grills. They're not perfect but pretty nice. I have a clock too. Are you looking for the two way bumper? Something good enough to bolt on and drive, or a solid core to replate? I'll try to get some photos for you soon. Last fall I dismantled a 1971 Vista Cruiser and still have most of the good stuff. John

Hey John, I sent you a PM with more parts I needed before I got back to here. I just need grills that are not broken and will look good with a little work and re-painted with good metal trim, good mounting tabs with a few repairable ones if they are broken as usual. I will keep my dash apart if you have a clock and hear from you on the specifics, I need the bulb harness with the two bulb sockets and plug for it too. The bumper is the two-way type and I'm looking for one that would look nice with no major dents or bends and decent good chrome, a lot to ask I know. I'm restoring the car so would like it to look fairly good. I have a clean bent up bumper that could probably be starightened and plated but it all depends on what I can come up with that may pass the way it is.

re: 1964-77 Olds parts for sale
Don't know if they are the same but I'm looking for a complete rearview mirror assembly for my 67 Delta Convert. Here is a pic of what I have. (leave out the two sheetmetal screws please).
Thanks,
Dave in Spokane

John, you may have already seen a request for a complete rearview mirror assembly for my 67 Delta 88 convert. If you have one in good shape (I'm assuming many of the models and years shared the same mirror), I'm looking to pay.
I've attached a pic of my current mirror (disregard the sheetmetal screws, definately not stock which is why I'm looking to replace it).
Thanks, Dave

Parts for Sale
Whoops, it looks like I've not checked this ad often enough! Let me start from the most recent post.
Dave, I'll get a photo of the one from a Delta hardtop and let you compare it to yours. I know I've got a mirror, the glass may have dark lines in it from the reflective backing failing but you might be able to have another piece of mirror cut to fit it.
Bryan, I believe that was on a 2bbl carb but I do have several quadrajets in the garage. I'll try to come up with a choke assembly for you.
Black_Bishop I do have a set of new covers for the swivel bucket seats, but was planning to include them in the sale of a set that need recovered. If I change my mind in the near future I'll let you know.
Reddog, I shipped a toronado transaxle to Ohio a couple years ago and that costs something like $450. I'm afraid the engine would be much more than that. I did pull the #5 heads from the 1968 350 4bbl engine last week, pulled the valves and dropped them off at my machine shop. If your still interested I'll let you know if they come out crack free. I would be willing to sell you other items from this engine, but the shipping will add up.
Salomon, I was trying to sell the whole car but I would be willing to part it out. What part of the country do you live in? Go ahead and make a list of the items you want and I'll get some photos for you this weekend. There should be a couple photos of the car on my photobucket site. The link to that is: http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k257/2blu442/
dholmes I do have some 1970 fenders but they're more expensive than the 71-72. Are you working on a numbers matching car or would the others be good enough? They have different trim around the headlight opening that can be changed from one to the other. The difference that can't be changed is the raised ribs on the 71-2 located where the sides of the hood rests on/in the fenders
Allen, sorry I haven't pulled the parts we discussed. I did look at the 1971 grills and found the passenger side has the lip broken off along the top. I hope to have time this weekend to work on the cars.

Thanks John,
Go ahead and take care of the bigger requests first. Since the quadrajet is for an OHC230 Pontiac that is at least a year away from being rebuilt. Besides the fact my farm is about 260 miles north on I-5, so I am just a 3.5 hour roadtrip away from Medford.

Black, I picked these covers up on ebay.
Darrin, if you came to my driveway to pick up the Pace car, and all I had to do was help you load it I'd take $500 for it. 403 engine runs good, trannie is bad. Lots of options, needs full restoration or great parts car if the one you have is decent.
Bryan, I've got the early choke setups for Buick and Oldsmobile, the kind that fit into an indention in the intake. Or the one that's a part of the quadrajet. I'm not sure which kind you need or would fit your Pontiac OHC engine.
Reddog, heads are $150 plus $20 for hot tank and mag at the machine shop, then the shipping which I would estimate around $100.

WOW...shipping for a pair heads at $100, who do you use?
Anyway, I am looking for a good used pair of reverse lights for a 1972 Cutlass Supreme. Would yo uhappen to have any that have not turned brown yet?
Thanks
John

That's shipping FedEx ground, three packages one each for the heads and one with the valve train. Last month I sent a set from Oregon to New Jersey and it cost $113. Do you need the complete backup light assembly or just the lenses Eightupman?
Reddog, I got the #5 heads back from the machine shop this afternoon and they said they're good, no cracks. Let me know if you'd like to see photos of them. John

Sorry about not getting back to you sooner John. I found the choke it is rusted onto an OHC exhaust manifold I thought was thrown out years ago. Of course the heads on the screws are stripped. The housing of the choke is 2 3/4" long at the base, 1" high, 3/4" wide, and 1 3/4" across the top. Basically it resembles a ramp.
I'll see if I can find any Olds parts at the swap meet in Portland in a few weeks and go from there. Right now I know I need a spare drive line for the 442.

I need daily driver lenses. I know I can get repops, but since I am not doing a total resto right now, I need to get something on there other than the ugly brown ones I got... so cracked is OK, as long as 90% of it is clear.
zip is 28314 for shipping purposes...
Thanks
