Cool 64 super 88

i want to adjust the torsion bar on a 64 super 88, anyone know how high i can take it without causing too much stress on the system, i know the parts will wear out faster if i raise her, but she needs that front end up just a little bit... also, does anyone know a good place to buy parts? i am in Anchorage, AK, so online is probably the best way, because the shops here dont have much for anything this old.

Thanks!

also, does anyone know what size socket i will need? i have seen 18MM on the web for other vehicles, is that the standard, or are they different per car? ( i would measure, but its not my car, and so i am not with it at the moment...)

1964 Oldsmobiles do not have torsion bars. They have coil springs at all four wheels.

I was thinking the same thing. What are you referring to when you say "torsion bar?" Do you mean the front sway bar?
