My first Olds

I just purchased a 1975 Oldsmobile Omega Salon from an old dude down the street for 1500.00 that rides and drives. Even the AC works great Car Fax has no events on the VIN and it has always been a So-Cal car.

Does anyone know how many of these were made?

Going to make this into a street rod and try to keep the 350 olds but not having a lot of luck in finding parts. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome. There are Omega guys on here I'm sure will chime in.
Did you mean you got it from an Olds dude down the street?

Welcome to the site. Lots of Omega guys. I am sure someone can help you with any issues. Summit auto and Rock auto on the internet have parts for your 350. Good luck

Welcome to the site. It is a very good place to viist.
It looks to be a "Buick V8". Which is a very good engine. Might make your hunt for parts a little easyier.
Very nice looking car, who ever had the car, took very good care.

Good luck and have fun with it.

Your Omega is in better condition than the '76 I owned. Plus it has a V8, mine had a chevy six cylinder in it.

Thanks for the welcomes. I drove it for the first time tonight to take a co-worker home 60 miles round trip. She kept raving about how well my Omega rode I pushed it on the shake-down cruise up to 90 and it rode like glass. No vibrations pulls or shimmy. This thing rides as good or better than my 1978 Town Car.

You should look for your engine parts here. That's an Oldsmobile air cleaner on a Buick motor.

WOW. I own a omega 74' AND A red earlier 87' CRX with old school soundstream audio equipment in it lol.. A lot in common there . I see that SOUNDSTREAM stickered blazer in the backround.

That car looks like a great base for what you want. What are your plans as far as "street rodding" it?

Mild cam, duals, and intake/carb swap is what I plan to do to this beast.
Going to put a 400 tranny into it to as soon as i can find one.

As for the CRX and blazer I compete in dB Drag sound off events using all US Amps and RE Audio equipment. My buddy put those Sound Stream stickers on there to mes with me. As I work for US Amps/RE Audio.

Do you have a 2 barrel carb or a 4 barrel carb on that one?
I have a buick 350 4 bbl manifold if you need one.

It has a 4 barrel carb already. The only thing I noticed last night was that when I mashed it to the floor it would load up and fall on it's face. But if I eased into it, she would purr all the way up to 90 very quickly and smoothly.

Congratulations on your find! In PA, I have only seen four door variants.

FYI: 1975-6 Nova parts interchange with your Omega.

Decided to do a few small upgrades to the Omega tonight... Pulled the factory clock and added a tach then pulled the factory dash lights and added some blue led's.
Tell me what ya think.

That's a nice Tach install. I get tired of seeing guages that look like they don't belong. Looks like you are making it clean
