1966 Olds 98 Town Sedan Parts Car

I am a Pontiac guy & know very little about Olds. I am an active member of several Pontiac Forums & do GTO's I have a friend that runs a salvage yard & he called me to look at a car yesterday... If this were a Pontiac I would have dragged it home.

It's a 1966 98 4 dr Town Sedan. I believe it has the 425 motor & 400 trans. Has a 10 bolt posi.. I started it & it fired right up. Drove it, but no brakes. Has cold blowing Air Conditioning. The car is near mint inside & out & very original. 47,000 miles. The dash is like new. When I opened the ashtray it looked like one in a new car. Jack, mats, trunk matt, hubcaps, fender skirts, dash chrome, dash woodgrain, seat belts, am radio, electric trunk release, all in excellent shape.. Owners manuals in the glove box. Totaled because something fell on the roof, creasing it in the center & breaking the windshield, it comes on an Ohio salvage title.

Anyway he's gonna give it a week or so then scrap it. I don't know any local Olds guys to flip this to so I'm posting here... No profit to me, just want to save a bunch of great parts...

There's gotta be somebody out there that can use this car... At this point he is not willing to part it out. I already asked. If you know of anyone give Ed or PJ a call at 440 322 0597... thanx al

heres a link to 20 some photos of the car http://www.carsforsale.com/used_cars_for_sale/1966_Oldsmobile_Ninety+Eight_89280365_1

MODERATORS! Hope this isn't out of line. This car has a lot of great parts, I'm just trying to get them a good home.....

Aside from that nasty looking gouge in the roof it looks like a really nice project. Hope someone can pick it up.

I guess you could put a new top on it ( or make yourself a 4 dr Vert...). This car had to spend most of it's life inside.... Did I mention new exhaust, new plugs wires, distributor cap. Original air cleaner & carb. seat belts date coded 8E66 I belive thats 8th day, May, 1966 in Pontiac speak...

Too bad it is in OH. That seems like a decent project.
