Welcome to CO. Sounds like your car is a fast one. Where did you get the 400 from? Did you do the conversion yourself?

Thanks guys.
To answer your question I had a machine shop build the motor and a mechanic weld the motor mounts. This was the first time I ever swapped a motor and trans but it went pretty smooth.
It still has the 7.5 factory rear end, I haven't found any thing that will fit a g body at the junkyards since a lot of 80's and older have been crushed.

Talk to "Monzaz" for info on rear ends that fit into the G body.

The easiest rought is a 8.5"out of a Grand National or G-body 442. Its a bolt in deal. If not just do a 9". I pieced one together for my old 78 Malibu pretty reasonable. You can make a 12 Bolt Chevelle rear work too but requires some work to the mounting angles. For what they want for 12 bolts these days just be done with it with the 9"

BTH my 7.5" lated 6 passes with my mild 406 so you are on borrowed time.
