Windshield wiper control

Does anyone recall the size and quantity of the retaining nuts? This is for a '71 442.
Thanks

Lance - Are you referring to the chrome faceplate/bezel OR the wiper switch itself.

Faceplate is held on with two VERY SMALL stamped speed nuts....who knows what size those are...probably need a microscope to figure that out!

Switch is held on with 3 #8 x 1/2" hex flange screws (1/4" socket size for the head)

If you need some let me know.

I need to remove the bezel so I can replace the wood grain. I'm thinking the nuts are 5/16", and I wanted to be tooled up with correct socket.

The stamped speed nuts are also 1/4" socket size....if the bezel mounting studs are stripped a bit then just pry/pull against the bezel from the frontside while turning the socket on the nuts.

That and Harry Houdini as you'll get to do some contortionist maneuvers at the same time. Getting back up after all that is the real challenge!
