71 442 floor pans

I have been working on this project for about a year and knew I had a car in really nice condition when I started. I was really amazed though when I final pull all the carpet and insulation last night. This interior is damn near perfect, just some minor surface rust. I getting it ready to go to the body shop in a few days and just wanted to share some pics. Amazing! I really would like to maintain the condition under the carpet as is and not repaint completely in this area but I need to address the surface rust. Any suggestions?

Hello, yes it looks very clean. Your lucky there!

As for surface rust, if its isolated to small area, just sand it a bit and use some encapsulator like POR 15 in those spots. Where is the rust?

You probably already took care of this since you said you were sending it out to get painted in a few days...so what did you end up doing?
