The cost would be that of a service and assembly manual, a total of about 80 bucks (less than an hour of mechanic labor). The manuals will show where all the screws are (some are hidden) and the whole procedure.
It is time consuming, but very doable. Only regular hand tools should be needed. This is a good time to do the small restoration work that a mechanic may not think about. A great opportunity to become even more knowledgable with your car!

It completely depends on the skill of the shop and the hourly rate. This takes me a couple of hours standing on my head, but I know were the fasteners are located by now. If you're planning on taking this to a shop that primarily deals with late model cars, good luck. On most new cars the dash comes out from the front. I doubt a shop like this would even know where to start unless they have done a similar car before. At $75/hr, that's at least $150-$200 each way (out and back in), possibly more if the tech needs to root around under the dash to figure it out. Also, be sure they accept responsibility for breaking the plastic dash parts before you OK the work.

I agree with the others. Get a service manual and do it yourself.
