Sem or duplicolor
I know you get what you pay for but is duplicolor just as good as a product for re painting my 71 cutlass console and dash ans kick panels. If I use an adhesive promoter and clean the parts well can I get the same results with the duplicolor as I would with SEM. help

I used Duplicolor...
I just used Duplicolor gloss black on my 72 cutlass. I am pleased with how it came out but was told that SEM Landau black was a perfect match for the GM black. I'm not a "pureist" so it works for me.
I used Duplicolor gloss black, Adhesion promoter, and prep spray...
Attached are some before and after. I can post more if you want to see examples of what I bought

You can find the SEM products at most any auto paint store, or online. Duplicolor is sold by many of the Auto Parts stores. I have used them both and found them both to work well. I like the SEM the best as it blends and covers very well so you don't have to worry about lighter and darker areas. (as in rattle can blotches).
