Where to buy new 1970 Cutlass/442 door panels ??

Guys, looking to find out if any vendors sell new OER or anything 1970 Door Panels.
I need front and rear in black.

I'm going to be changing out my entire interior to black.
Looking for any helps. Thanks.

I know I could TRY to SEM paint them but I'm not sure that would turn out good enough for my expectations.
I've SEM painted my interior hard plastic parts which came out fantastic in my classic Camaro.
But I'm not sure how softer vinyl would fare long term......

Any thoughts on this or input is appreciated.

There is only one place in my book to get them:

Legendary Auto Interiors

Check out my restoration photos (link below). I have a bunch with the interior restoration. I paid $200 to have a professional recover the seats, it was worth every penny! You may want to consider replacing the front springs and foam as well to do the job right.

Legendary does show them available in black.
I would not try to paint vinyl door panels and have any kind of expectations. Good choice to repaint.
You are not loosing that nice green upholstery, are you? From the pics it looked so good.

Yes, unfortunately I want updated seats in my car and I'm probably going to strip the interior out
and sell it as an ENTIRE kit to someone else who would be able to use it.

Console, door panels, newly upholstered seats with all new cushions, new gauge bezel, console bezel, all new wood trim, etc.
I love the green myself, but I really want updated bolstered seats. Cornering hard in a seat with no bolsters isn't fun.

HAH!!!! Gary I just remembered you after I posted that at work and left.
I just got home and now I'm reviewing your door panel thread.

One other thing to consider is having a shop add some foam support to your seats and do custom upholstery. The price of vendor seat covers is high in my opinion. You could probably get what you actually want for not a lot more $$$. I added a little extra support foam to the sides of the base and they felt a lot better. I might do the same on the backs.
Oh yeah, you can also get matching vinyl or material for your panels and seats if you go to a custom shop.

That is a good suggestion.

I might explore that option.
I'm already looking at just $500 for aftermarket FRONT seats, and I don't know if the rears will fit yet.
I'm measuring them today at a dealership.

Then I gotta build all new door panels, etc.
Might not be a bad idea to just modify the front seats as is or explore $$$ of doing it.

I actually prefer a black interior , but I'm somewhat fond enough of the green that I'd keep it.
I am a mick bastid.

Sounds like you can clear up your decisions by just getting another car... Good excuse, right?

I'm much more into upgrading classics into modernized pro-touring beasts.

Trust me, I was test driving Vipers and Z06's this past week.
Viper's interior is like a smart car. Z06 ....I really did like alot.
BMW M6......sucks on gas and too much $$$ for repairs.

I don't have anymore room. 2 daily drivers, 2 classics with lots of $$$ in them,
newer Harley, newer Hayabusa. I was strongly considering selling my Camaro
for the Viper but that got nixed after I just sat in it.....tried to sit in it.

My stable is full. It's customizing time. This spring, new console is being created
to fit OVER the new trans tunnel for the T-56 that just went in.

Just one hint if you're making the pvc door panel.
When I bent the door panels over the original metal door top, I used the same metal for left and right panels. It turns out there's a slight difference in the radius front to rear. You dont notice it in the car, but when they were sitting side by side, there was a slight difference.
In your case you might try to copy a consistant radius on some wood (a 2 x 4?) and bend the pvc on that. That way you wont have to destroy your old panels.
