Digging out information beforehand, im not getting my hands to the car in few weeks yet.

I have swivel bucket seats on my 76 Cutlass, and the problem is at when they are locked on driving position, nose pointing towards the front, theres about 10 degrees of slack. Annoying when driving to tight turns, when it turns from another side lock to another.

I havent managed to find like anything about the problem, and try to gather some information beforehand.
Is there simply some lever which worns, and welding more metal to it fixes the problem?
Yes- i have body manual incoming.

The handle that on-locks the swivel, there is a tab, that locks the seat in the forward or sideways position , ether that tab is worn, or the grove it fits into is worn. and the seat moves.

Okay, thanks for fast answer. For once an simple fix.

I just fixed mine. I welded a bead on the end of the tab, and then grinded it until the fit was tight again, no more slack.
