Glue Residue on Dash Pad

I bought a dash pad that has a 1"square area that has glue residue on it. I'm thinking it was a stick on compass or Virgin Mary Statue.lol
Any ideas on how to remove the glue? The rest of the pad is really nice and I'd really like to use it.

Try 90+ percent rubbing alcohol.

Also wd40, goo gone, acetone (but first try in an obscure area to test if it will cause damage.

I've used this for years - works well on most adhesives & surfaces. Do a small test first, but I've never had it damage anything yet.

Try a hair dryer to soften the glue and try to peel it off gently before using any viotle chemicals.
