Oldsmbile Calais GT
I am currently in the process of restoring a 1986 Calais GT. I know they were only produced 2 years, and the production numbers were low. Unfortunately I have heard 3 different numbers on how many were made. Does anybody know? Any other info on these cars would also be appreciated.

If you could post the vin information it would help as there were four versions of the Calais N body. Numbers varied from 13,396 for the 2dr Supreme coupe to 118,575 for the 4dr Supreme sedan. Welcome to CO.

Requeste VIN information
The VIN on my car is 1G3NF27L2GM381255. The numbers I have been told so far for 1986 are: 2877; 3154;2997. I have only seen one other GT (it was a 1987) and would appreciate any help. Also if anybody else has one, let me know. Thanks

I owned an '87 that I bought new in 1988 in Columbus, Ohio at Chesrown Oldsmobile. It was that gorgeous dark metallic red metallic with the lower silver ground effects. A really gorgeous car and loaded with equipment in 1987. IN all of these years I've probably seen less than 6 EVER ! I drove it until 1993 when i traded it on a 1992 Lumina Z34. I recall it had 87,000 miles on it. I don't think I've ever received so many compliments on a car ... My wife still talks about it as it was the car i drove when we were dating. Anyone else ever see one of these rare cars ?
