I saw the car blurb in PHR, but I had no idea it was that nice.

Are those minitubs totally fabbed or does somebody make a kit? (like I now Detriot Speed & Engin. makes them for several cars).

Looks like they took new factory inners and sectioned them on to the inners already in the car. That was one of my favorite parts they have done. Looks factory.

For the life of me I can't understand that pro-touring deal. I mean, why would anyone want to have a 30+ year old car that accelerates, corners, and brakes like a brand new car plus has the sex appeal of an Oldsmobile. Why???

The Chebby motor and the funny wheels are the only thing about the car that I thought was wrong, otherwise a great build. I liked the tubbed stock looking wheel wells., Plus the fact that he painted as he assembled makes for a very nice overall paint job.

If you think about its not really a Chevy motor. Its a corporate motor. Its used in Chevy, GMC, Cadillac,Pontiac and even the Isuzu Asender. If Olds was still alive today with a performance car it would use one too. Now if they had dropped in a SBC/BBC that would be different.

I read a blurb a little while back of a company making Olds SSII style wheels in 17" and bigger in billet. I think they would have made for a better choice for this fine ride.

I agree the SSII is better looking wheel but for the theme of the car what they went with goes just right.
