What to put on vanity license plate?

I'm thinking of putting a vanity plate on my 68 cutlass convertible.
Do you have any ideas? What are you running?
I've kicked around some ideas like:
recycled
68ragtop
455roket
notdads
gasguzlr
youdlose

I had this in Illinois:

(yes it was straight, I just can't find the regular pic of it right now)

but plates out here in CA are a bit pricey for me right now so I have to wait.

Are you sure you can run 8 characters? I haven't seen more than 7 on any plate.

Are you allowed 8 letters where you are? When I got mine, here in Ohio, the BMV said I could only have 7 letters. Some of the things I thought of were already taken, but they will tell you! They are expensive - mine are $89.00 a year on each car. I'm going to change to year of manufacture plates on the 72.
My plates are "My Cutls" on the 72, and "SK Olds" on the Intrigue. (my initials)

I just got off the CT web site.
In their wisdom, it is 6 characters, and they won't do anything on an antique plate.
6 characters will be tougher, but I know you are a creative bunch.

Ontario allows 8 if I'm not mistaken. Alberta is 7. Since you're only allowed 6 letters try 6UL DV8

NC allows 8, VA allows 7 except on the specialty plates which are usually limited to 6 because of the affinity group's logo.

The 1976 Ninety Eight wore I8JAPAN for many years until antique plates became a cheaper way out. The 74 Hurst currently wears 58THNDY, and the Bravada had RKTRDR on a NASA-Langley specialty plate until I got tired of spending money on it and parked it.

Wagon has a Tobacco Heritage specialty plate TBCORD - "tobacco road" since I grew up on a baccer farm and even though I never want to go back to it, I have not forgotten where I came from.

Ford truck has a non-personalized Civil War Sesquicentennial commemorative. It's the only one I've seen in this city, which is discouraging because Danville WAS the last formal capital of the Confederate government when they were on the run from Richmond in April 1865. The town has a goldmine of history between the Civil War and the Civil Rights movement, but chooses not to exploit either to its advantage.

But Vajenya has so many affinity and commemorative plates available, it's hard to keep track of them all. Even with the affinity arrangements, they are a cash cow for this state.

I recently watched the movie Falling Down with Michael Douglas. In the movie the main character has a vanity license plate D-Fense.

I think that would be a cool license plate. Especially since I am a defense contractor.

I ressurected an oldie for my 72 Cutlass "S". I originally had it on my 70 Superbee and it became my nickname at work. It's now my screen name also.....BOOWAH. It signifies the sound of the Bee's exhaust that I used to mimic when revving it up......Boooo......Waah! . My daily driver is an 89 Caprice Classic and it's plate is simpler and more direct....62 GRAD!

65 442 that I had in the late 70s, early 80s had XLNT. People would look at the plate and shake their heads until I told them to say it faster.

Ohio has "Commodore" denoted plates for any of you land yacht guys in the Buckeye state.

OHIOLDS
BLUVSTA
SUV NOT
IGTARND
ICWOOD...grain
UCWOOD
CMYWOOD
GOTWOOD is taken darn it.

For my goat you just rearrange Pontiac, ANTICOP.
Guys do that with their trunk lettering on models that have it, they're just asking for it.

The James Bond 007 Aston-Martin could change plates at the flip of a switch, that would be the hot set-up. The cops or bad guys chasing him would naturally think it was a totally different silver Aston-Martin out in the middle of nowhere.
I grew up in the secret agent days so a combination would be cool. I'm bummed you can only have seven digits in Ohio.

OOLDS7 would work.
No room for my favorite though.
Mr...OLDSFNGR...He's the man, the man with the Golden Rocket.

Smile Name game

We have HYE NRG on Muskrat's convert; W8 4 ME on my wife's convert; W8 FRME on her daily driver; BGZ GLR on the pick-up; GLS TGR on the Vette and JLP JKY on the '57: for a convert I thought about NO WOOF or RAG DOL...the other stuff is too obvious. I like to have to think about it for a while
