thanks derek.
don't currently own an olds, just a couple '69 chev b-bodies. i'm here to learn in the meantime. i looked at a '69 post cutlass last winter, a 350 or 400 with a 3spd manual. needed alot of work, floor pans etc. cleared the snow away...had a sunroof cut into the roof too. ![]() Last edited by 2drpost; July 7th, 2009 at 08:31 PM.. |

Welcome aboard!.
I'm a 2-Dr. Post fan too and am also in ON but about an hour NE of TO.. Are the '69 B-Body cars you mentioned having 2-Dr. Post cars too?. Is there a specific Olds Post car you're seeking...A/B Body?. Have you seen these recent Ontario Kijiji ads?. http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ135905363 http://london.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehic...QAdIdZ95129966 http://hamilton.kijiji.ca/c-PostersO...serIdZ38979472 ![]() ~ Pete Last edited by Ghost Post; July 9th, 2009 at 02:06 PM.. |

Just piping in to say eh! If you do get the bug for an Olds maybe something from 69-72 cutlass would be up your alley. The best place in Canada to find good cars with solid frames would be in the Prairies. The dry climate and lack of salt on the roads really keeps the cars in good shape. My 69-98 came from Saskatoon and the frame and underside is primo.

Dry
When I worked out there one of the guys I worked with found a 38 Pontiac coupe that had been sitting out in a farmers field for about 40 years. he dragged it home and restored it. To our surprise when he sand blasted the frame and body it only had some surface rust and everything underneath was solid , no holes anywhere! he turned it into a really nice rod.

Welcome, fellow 'newbie'!Not knocking hardtops or droptops, but there is just a sinister cool factor in post cars.(the American Graffitti 55 was no Bel Air hardtop.)Good luck whichever way the road leads you.
