Car guy Valentines tip (pic added)

I always try to be creative this time of year but don't spend much money.
Not sure what I am doing this year but last year here is what I did and my wife loved it.
Bought a nice looking wood 5 x 7 frame at Michaels for $12.00
Looked around the shop and found some 11ga sheet and cut it to fit inside the frame. I took the grinder and made grind marks all over the sheet. Now the hard part. I centered a simple line drawing of a heart on the back side of the sheet to use as my guide. I light my torch and heat the metal in the center of the heart until it turns blue. Move the torch around to color in the heart. The trick is you have to remember the heat travels after you take the torch away. The hardest part is the V at the top. If you go too far it overlaps and makes a blob. If you don't go far enough you don't complete the shape. I had to grind it off and redo 3 times before I was happy with it.

Actually that is an awsome idea. I still don't know what I am doing for the wife. Maybe I will take her out to Taco Bell in the 71 if the guy gets the interior done this weekend.

Lucky me - I don't have to worry V-day this year!

We be goin out to crappy bees ant then to church to see a movie. Real romantic huh? Killer idea Richard, I might try one myself. Did you try writing on it?

Writing would be too tough with the regular welding tip I was using. Maybe with a 000 tip
