Okay, let's fire another volley for the big block. This engine in my '68 is the original 400G. From a stone cold start.

Wow Kurt! That 400G sounds really nice. Stock exhaust? What cam are you running? Mufflers & tube size?

Thanks, Tommy. A recent acquisition for me, I'm still trying to get those answers myself. The mufflers may be (or like) Flowmaster 40s, but I'll need to check that and the size. They are a stock fit, no headers.
Has a Edelbrock 04B intake with an Edelbrock Thunder AVS 650 carb. But the cam is still a question. Pretty sure it's not the stock stick cam.
I'll be getting in touch with previous owners, so I hope to get more answers.
Have to say I really like the sound!

I love these videos! They all sound so good.

Here's a old video of my 76 442 with a mild 455. I sure do miss this car! As you can see, I had some good times in it!

No vid unfortunately but I used to have an original '86 Buick Regal w/ the stock olds 307 v8. I ordered the original style G body 442 walker dual cat back exhaust set up straight pipe no mufflers. Car sounded really nice. Mild, deep & throaty sound. Car sounded mean but to bad it was slow as ....

x-pipe or single exhaust on both side?

Thanks. Its a 425 with open headers. We plan to run an X pipe with 3" mandrel bent tubes and Dynomax mufflers.


Here is that other video. Mind you the idle is a little high....I need to pull it back a little bit.

83 Hurst Olds 455, G heads, WZ manifolds, Pypes downpipes and exhaust kit with x pipe, Flowmaster delta flow 40s. Cam is from Mark. 220/220, .504", 110LSA
