1959 OLDS 394 STARTER

Hi i'm new here but i'm experiencing a problem getting a new starter for my 1959 Olds 394, It has a Hydramatic with 176 teeth on the ring gear, Could anybody point me in the right direction to get one ???

Also should point out i'm in the U.K.

Many thanks Steve.

The following two websites should have starters for your engine. Before you buy a new one, did you check to see if there is an electic motor rebuild shop in your area? I know there are rebuild shops like that here in the states. They can do alterantors, starters, vacuum cleaner motors, fans etc. They might be able to fix your old one.

You MIGHT get some help from Bob Hutchison. He is willing to pull parts and sell them, he might even ship to the UK. Here is his phone number 1-417-876-0171. I don't know if you need the numeral 1 first when calling from the UK. His wife answers the phone as he is usually out in his yard except for lunch time at noon CST. If you do contact and talk to him you could tell him I referred you to him, he probably won't remember my name but tell him I bought the "48 Olds two door project car from him. He might remember that.

No starters at Fusick! BLASHPEMOUS!

Nah, just kidding. That is a bummer. I know one of those links I provided will lead to a starter though. Let me know if none of them work. I might have a few more up my sleeve.
