Unhappy Problems with gauges

I have an 1985 Toronado with digital gauges. The speedometer works sometimes, but sometimes it doesn't. The gas gauge and the coolant gauge also stop working, but much less often. What should I check? Some have told me it may be the wiring. If thats a likely case, does anyone know where I can get a kit with everything I need to rewire the car, including detailed instructions? Thanks in advance!

Try removing the cluster & cleaning the plug at the printed circuit. Also try bending the tabs on the plug to make them fit tighter. Disconnect battery first! Use rubbing alcohol to clean with.I have also used a hot glue gun to refill the screw holes that split crack & strip out.as they hold the cluster tight.

Your problem probably isn't the wiring. Check the connections and fittings like Ozoneblue said. If you want to consider an aftermarket wiring harness check out the following website.

You were right, it is the connections in the back. I havent gotten around to fixing it yet, but when they act up all I have to do is hit the dash. Thanks for your help guys!
