Plug connections to steering column

Plug connections to steering column
Restoring a 1970 cutlass convertible. On the top side of the steering column, there is a white plug (towards firewall) and a black plug (towards dash). There is presently only an orange wire in the top middle position, but I have a dangling green wire with a spade that's taped along side it. The only choices would be middle row left, middle row right, or bottom row left. Can someone please tell me which hole (looking from wire side of plug) the green wire goes into?

Thanks Steven.
I also have another question. There is a short 3 wire harness coming off the convertible top switch. One of the wires has a ring connector on it, and I'm pretty sure it goes through the firewall then gets connected to the 40A circuit breaker in the engine compartment. Is there a specific location where this wire should pass though the firewall? Maybe a measurement from a corner of the fuseblock?
Thanks much for your help.

This schematic has been posted here before, but I don't recall by whom:
The green wire is the ground wire that causes your "HOT" light to come on when you crank the starter.
See the Ignition switch pinout at the right, on the bottom edge.
(By the way, "Open in a New Tab" or "Download Target" for the full-resolution file).

If the car had idiot lamps the green wire provides a vround the the temp light when the key is turned towards the start position.if the car has gauges i dont think the green wire was even in the harness. Has someone converted this car.to factory style gauges?
