75 delta 88 conv(floors)

I have (2) holes in the floor in the back where the back passengers feet goes. Whats a good way of repairing them? I was told rivets were a good way. Any suggestions are appreciated. Also, my conv top seems to be off track, every time it goes up, a piece of the arm sticks out the side. How would I repair that or do I have to replace the whole top?

I really dont know much about bodywork, but I do know that rivets are not a good repair. The best way to do it is to cut out all of the rusted metal and weld in a patch panel. Use a butt weld, do not overlap the metal. If you overlap the metal their will be the area in between the two pieces that can hold moisture and dirt, it will eventually rust out again. Make sure you put some type of under coating or paint on the repair under the car and inside the car to keep it from rusting again.

I had the same problem with mine until I got my new top installed. The piece you're talking about should be glued to the top. My had come apart and never did line up correctly. I used to stop about halfway up and pull it back inline in order to get the top up.
