1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Ignition Kill Switch Short
This car has an ignition kill switch where you need to turn the left turn signal on before starting the car.
Were these installed at the factory? There is some sort of short now where you can see smoke coming from the center of the dashboard near the clock. Where do I disconnect the kill switch – which color wires should the harness be? |

I do not think this was a factory install.
I looked in my manual (AllData) and there is nothing that indicates this was a factory install. Turn signal wires: From the fuse to the turn Signal Flasher - Dark Blue From the Flasher to the Switch - Purple From the switch to the Left Side Front - Light Blue From the Switch to the Right Side Front - Dark Blue From the Switch to the Left Rear - Yellow From the Switch to the Right Rear - Dark Green
