Beautiful car. It is awsome to see other people that like the big cars.

That looks like it might be this car...

Can't be too many '62s around with those wheels on them. Don't know what happened to the Super 88 side moldings - they've been replaced with Dynamic 88 moldings.

Redog, the rims say ADR Design on them, 19x7. Oldsfan, I think it is previously Shane's car that you mention. What mouldings do you mean are from the Dynamic? I know it did not have the fender mirrors and moulding below the doors reinstalled. It is a blast to drive. I have a vacume door problem with the AC in the summer, it does not want to blow out the vents properly, it would rather blow out near the floor. Otherwise it is great, I have put about 4k miles on it and so far up to 72k miles.

If you have a problem with the air doors chances are you just need to rebuild your air plenum. I just did that on my 64 98. It is a big job but well worth it. Your vacuum acutators are probably old and in need of cleaning. I know mine were.

The moldings I'm talking about are the side moldings. Yours stop under the rear 1/4 windows. On the other pic they run the whole way to the rear bumper. I didn't notice the rocker moldings.

If you're not getting air out of the dash vents, you've probably got a broken spring on the diverter door (or maybe that's when you can't get air out of the heater...), but you could have a bad actuator like previously mentioned. It's been a while since I was in mine, so I forget how it works, but there's a spring in there that holds the door in one position and if it breaks, it's stuck there. I went to the hardware store and they left me look at a bunch of lawnmower springs and I matched up what I had.

If this is the same car, I should update the website.

Paul, I see what you mean about the side mouldings. The guy I got the car from did not mention changing the side mouldings, but it seems to have been done.
I will try to fix the AC in the spring, the heater works good now. I have a '62 manual that has some info on the vacume routing, maybe it will help. Layne

Yeah, when I did my air plenum it would have been near impossible without the vacuum diagrams.

I had to replace all the vacuum hoses, with the diagram, of course. I would start there, then see what works and what doesn't... Enjoy the ride !
