17" wheels? I'd pick up a set of '62 wheelcovers & leave it alone.

I suspect there's a reason those 65 caps are on there... has to do with how 62 caps are attached.

I won't grump too much about modern wheels/rubber on a car long as that's the biggest change and nothing that can't be put back stock. I've toyed with the idea of a set of Radir wheels on the green Starfire.

You going with old-style Cragars? they're made in 17-18" and will look OK. Most "modern" (read ghetto bling) style wheels look like crap on an older car IMHO. Then again I think they look like crap on about everything. Don't understand where some designers get their inspiration from.

You're right, Glenn. I should have been more specific. The old-style Cragars do have a nice look to them.

My dad had poverty caps & trim rings on his '62 88. They looked sharp, & there weren't any clips to fool with, either!

I'm with you on the pimpmobile wheels. I hate 'em. The bagging stuff is even worse. IMHO it's a fad that's been ridiculously overdone & overhyped well-past the saturation point. When everybody's done it, it ain't so cool anymore, though the market appears to say otherwise.....
