67 or 68 delta custom ?

In '67 the Delmont was the low line car, Delta was mid level, and the top of the line was the Delta Custom. This had wide side trim like that of the now departed Starfire, but was available as a hardtop sedan as well as a coupe. Deltas and Delta Customs were all 425 powered. Delmonts could come with either the 330 or 425.

The 67 Delta two door hardtop came in two trim levels, Delta and Delta Custom. The Custom was a dressier, flashier model with brushed aluminium down the sides, faux taillights set in the bumper, bucket seats and center console. The interior was more plush. The lines were, imho, exquisite. The base engine was a two barrel 425. Options ranged to a 375 HP dual exhaust four barrel Starfire engine. Gorgeous cars.

Good information so I moved this thread to the Eighty-Eight forum. Not sure about the answer to your question. All models for a particular year were started in production the previous calendar year, is that what you were asking?

Delta Custom were made from 1967-71. The 1967 car had the wide side trim with fender vents but the trim was toned down considerably after that, especially when it became the mid-line Delta after the Royale coupe was introduced in 1969.

Not a given that a Custom would have buckets/console. I've seen plenty of them with Strato-Bench.

Need pics of your car's grille and tail end to tell if it's 67 or 68. The side view doesn't show us much except it is not a 1967 Custom.

That's a '68 Delta Custom in your album. The heavy cast side trim and side marker lights give it away. Nice car and fairly rare. Unusual to see one without A/C.

The buckets/console actually were standard equipment on the Delta Custom holiday coupe, but a strato-bench and column shifter was a no-cost option for those who wanted a true 6-passenger car. Strato-bench was standard on the 4-door. All Customs were holiday hardtops.

Oh BTW, the second set of taillights in the bumper of the '67 Delta Customs were functional. Tough to find that model-specific bumper.
