1970 delta 88 wheel size

I'm interested in buying some American Racing torq wheels but I'm not sure on the width of wheel to buy.
Does anyone know if my car wheel handle the 15 X 8 or 8.5?,
Or do I have to use the 15 x 7?
Do I need any spacers?

thx

I am not sure if an 8" wheel would fit on your car. Stock wheels were 7". Someone else might chime in and know for sure. FWIW, don't use spacers or adapaters unless your car is a trailer queen. They are bad news.

Hi, I have the stock ones on there but now that the car is painted and I'm doing the interior, the stock hubcaps arent really cutting it.
The car seems to have huge wheel wells so I thought I could go with a meater tire.
Jags web site says the 7" wheel has a 3.5 offset. Is this the same as the srock wheels? If not, do I need to be concerned about this number?

thanks for any info.

If I were you I would measure your stock wheels just so you know the exact size. I am not sure what offset they would be.

15x8 should be no problem. I have 20x8 on the rear of my 66 and 18x7 on the front. The car is lowered about 4-5 inches and I still would have room for an 18x8. You are right when you said "huge wheel wells"! Some of the biggest you'll see on a car.
You could always get a donk lift kit and some 28"s.

With 28" wheels he could go off roading with the best of the Baja 1000 winners.

I'm running 15x7 rev wire wheels on my 69 so you should have no issues.
