!955 hydramatic

Can i swap a 55 olds transmission with a buic? Is there any other make/models that will work?

I doubt you would be able to swap a Buick transmission into an Olds without modifying something. Any other 55 Olds would probably work.

Plus buicks of that era used that ( at least weird to me ) torque tube set up.

The Olds hydramatic was a lot better transmission than the Buick dynaflo. Without going to a Buick engine and rear end, you would never get this thing to work.
