I pulled my cover off the rearend to drain the fluid as well as I have to change out the pinion seal. When I was cleaning up the cover which was (blue at time) the blue paint came off an exposed an orange/red color. I am going to clean up the cover and repaint it but want to be politically correct on my color selection. The rearend is origanal and in a 69 Cutlass and is a 12 bolt.

 

Well seems to be someone else was already there. I do not believe the covers were bright colors as blue an dorange. Black or gray etc is about it.

Now I could be wrong...But I have never seen anything like that before. Jim
