Better gears for my 1980 delta 88

i was wondering if anyone knew any interchangable rear-ends for my 1980 olds delta 88 to make it have better gears in the rear?

Just get either a new rear end, or swap out that 2 series 7.5 carrier, with a 3 serise posi carrier and throw 3.42's in it

I've never tried it but 1973 to 1977 A-bodies, Cutlass,chevelle/malibu, rear-end housings are bolt-in for 1978 and up B/C bodies. Lots out there with posi' & better ratio's. Ken

X2 on the 73-77 A body rears. They are a 1/2" shorter, but they'll go in just fine.

The 73-77 are the same width as the 1978-1996...Same mounting points upper and lower and spring perch mounts. The early 1971-1977 full size rears are wider than the the 78-96 b-body... (wagons are an exception on this rule they are wider)
There also will be a rim / wheel bolt pattern difference too from 5 on 4 3/4 73-77 A-body and 5 on 5" full size 1971 -1996 b-body...One exception here is the impala base model will some times have the mid size car 5 on 4 3/4" bolt pattern circle and smaller 7/16 or metric studs. Jim

Oh and the yoke may be different too with a standard Y type yoke or bolt on coupler type (round flange) BUT they are easy to interchange to what you need on the 8.5 10 bolt rear. Jim

Do you have any driveshaft side yokes to match the companion flange style pinion yokes?
