trying to find the right kit to upgrade my brakes...

been kicking around what to do next on car and figured with impending 455 being added to car later this year, I figure stopping the car would be a good start. Right now the car has stock front disc/rear drum. I will most likely do in stages, front first, then do back after I procure more funds(got a wife ya know...) Anyone have any suggestions? I was looking at Wilwood sets on summitracing.com, but open to suggestions.

I think the stock set up would be sufficient for safety, after all lots of A bodies came with 455 engines and disc/drum setups.

Just get new pads and shoes and have the rotors and drums turned. Since you have nice wheels on your car you could paint the calipers and drums with the high temperature paint you get at the auto parts stores. It comes in a can and is made specifically for brake parts.

Summit has a house brand of cross drilled and slotted rotors.

I have them on the Alero and they are the best brakes I've had on the car. Getting a set for the rear discs and the front discs on the Delta. I'm also going to put them on the wife's Altima when her brakes wear out

Wilwood is a good option. They are expensive but good quality. Get the rear conversion kit from summit and then after those disc wear out replace them with some Wilwood or Baer.

I looked up Powerstopbrakes.com and brakeworld.com for my next set of brakes. I am just waiting until these drums and rotors wear out then I am upgrading to those using that rear conversion kit from Summit.
