New cutlass photos

Finally got my '71 back from the shop and took some pics of it over the weekend. It's sporting a new paint job(stock green with clearcoat), hood stripes, and new black vinyl top.......only took 2 years.

Beautiful car! Wow, I didn't know it took that long for a shop to paint and re-top a car. The black top looks good with the green paint.

It took 2 years for them to do the work, or you have been tinkering with it for 2 years? Either way it looks like your patience paid off. AWSOME car!

It took them two years to do the work, they're bread and butter is collision repair. Typical, but I think he did a good job. I've owned the car for 4-5 years come June, I forget.

Sorry for the late post to this thread, but I'm new here and still making my way around.

That's a beautiful Cutlass you have! I'm curious about the color - you said it was "stock green". Could you provide a little more info on that, like a color code # or name? I ask because I have a '70 Cutlass S that's original Aspen Green with Dark Green vinyl top (codes '45' and 'G'), but it looks quite different from yours. Don't know if the stock colors changed from '70 to '71 or if my car is just really faded, and I'm wondering what I might get when I have mine repainted (someday...).

By the way, I'm in Kansas too - Wichita area.

Hello Oskar, I'll find the paint code and pm it to you. Clear coat is a must.

I really like the color as it looks quite familiar although mine has the green top. I'm sure you will get alot of attention with it. Good luck!
Doug.

Ok, so a quick check of autocolorlibrary.com showed that the color did change between '70 and '71 - Aspen Green (#45) went away, Palm Green (#42) and Lime Green (#43) replaced it. Chalk this one up to new guy stupidity - shoulda looked before asking...

Looks great! Best of luck enjoying it.

Makes me want to get mine finished, although I am afraid to find out how much it will cost.
