1970 442 w-30
A friend of mine was traveling through a small town in Iowa and he saw a 442 for sale in a farmers field. My friend, who is not a car guy, said the windshield said it was a '70 442. He also said it had a W something on the fender. It's a 4speed and a conv.
The price......$2500 He told me it had a little rust but it looks sound. I'm trying to find out a little more info....unfortunatly it's 75 miles away. Anyone live near Atlantic Iowa? |

I'm out in Oregon, but if this story is legit you'd better start driving through the fields in Iowa! A rusty 442 convertible would be worth looking at for that price. If it's a W car with original drivetrain then the parts alone would be worth several times that!

That was my thought! I figure even if it's in horrible shape it has to be worth several thousand dollars.
I guess it could be a clone....although my friend did say it had the "cutouts" in the rear bumper. So I figure it's at least a 442 conv. |
