Transmission went out

I was turning the corner about 5 blocks from my house & I barely tapped the gas when my wheels just started burning rubber. After that i started hearing some clinks & clanks from under the car. It made it to my house & stopped going in any forward gear. the only gear that worked is reverse. I had the car towed to the shop today to get the trans pulled out to make way for a new one. The mechanic showed me all kind of stuff that was wrong with 307 that was in there. Whoever put the last motor in had the motor mounts back too far so the motor was sitting too far back which had the trans sitting too far back so it wasn't lining up with the crossmember or bolted down. I want more power so I guess I'll have to pull the chevy 350/th350 out of the cutty i just wrecked & drop it in. He said it should be ready by Tuesday!!!

At least it will be back on the road soon. Maybe you can sell the shop the old transmission for $50. They might be able to use it for parts. Then you could recoupe some of your losses.
