I was able to find a good home for this car. She was sold last week to an older fellow with the knowlegde and know how to properly put her back together.

Good Luck to the new owner.

Reminds me of my first 72. BTW, just noticed the sport mirror on the RS is from a later model (73+) A body. The base angle is wrong.

It also had a 1970 motor, a twelve-bolt rear end, and doors from different donor cars.
It was a Frankenstein.

I enjoyed reading this very much. A heart-warming, yet realistic, story. I can only hope that if, or more likely when something happens to me, Mary will come here for your support and to make sure my '71 gets a good home. Unless she decides to keep it. Lord knows I have more money in it than it's worth.

I enjoyed reading this thread as well. It was quite interesting and it's good to see everything worked out for everybody.

I could only imagine what would happen to my Delta if i were to pass. It'd probably be run into the ground, shuffled off into some warehouse and forgotten, or sold immediately, along with my truck. Sigh. That's why i take care of my stuff.. because i actually appreciate it.
