Back end saggin
I have 66 Delta 88 2DR HT 425 love the car because of the ride I live in the country 10 miles to the store one way. I need new shocks but the back end is really starting to sag it bottoms out on everything can I get the springs redone or do they make replacement springs to lift it back up to a normal height and smooth out the ride again. I got the car for 500.00 and it runs great but needs lots of work. thanks for the info. P.S. Do they still make air shocks for car and where would you find them. Auto parts store or???

Does that car come with air shocks, or are you trying to add them? You can not get springs redone, you need to get new ones.

Yes, they make springs and air shocks for your car, any good parts store should be able to get them. I purchased front and rear springs from Rockauto online but others online also have them. I like Rockauto because they have an easy to search catalog that goes back to the 1950 models and have a lot of parts that are hard to find. Mine were cheaper than the local parts store from them even with shipping and were the same exact parts. Rear coil springs are easy to install, fronts are a different story. http://www.rockauto.com/ Allan |
