Pics of motor mounts and frame mounts?
I would appreciate any restoration photos showing where your frame mounts are located.
Part numbers would be great.
I notice there are 2 location on the engine where the engine mounts can go.
I'm wondering by moving the engine forward,If I could use a long tail transmission.
If the motor is too far forward,I could go with electric fans.
Both A body and B body pics appreciated.
Thanks.

What year/model of car are you working on? My experience has been the 1964-72 A-bodies all used the two bolt holes closest to the rear of the block. I know I've had some 1967-68 full sized with big blocks that used the two forward most bolt holes in the block. Check out the following thread for information on part numbers. Let us know if you have any questions or if this isn't what your looking for. John

72 A Body.
I have an olds,Pontiac,and Chevy 350 available.
The cutlass motor is in the best condition.
I have a turbo 350 short tail and a turbo 400 long tail available.
I prefer the heavier duty unit..but don't want the added expense of shortening or buying a new drive shaft if I can help it.
The Pontiac and Chevy motors originally used the rubber mounts on the frame, with steel brackets on the engine.
They came off an F body.
The A body chassis has the rubber mounts on the engine, and metal frame mounts on the frame.
I would just like detailed photos of where the engine mounts and which holes are used for the mounts.
All A bodies use the same frame as long as the wheelbase is the same.
I understand the convertible frame is heavy duty.

Looks like you used standard grade 5 hardware?
Do the nuts go topside like your photo?
The goofball previousChevy Owner...liked to weld.
He welded mounts in ,rather than buy the correct mounts...I have no hardware.
Thanks.

Mine? If so, they are Grade 5 IIRC. The nuts go topside just like originally. Basic type nut with a lock washer in between (tricky to get a socket/wrench on a few bolt heads though). I got them from inlinetube (as well as the two long pointy motor mount bolts).
